Testimonials

Great family therapy activity!

By Amazon customer on August 12, 2018

This game was even more fun than I thought it would be. I played it with a family in therapy and they were surprised how much they knew about each other and really enjoyed giving compliments they would not normally have brought up.

A great way to build team cohesion and camaraderie!

At a youth retreat and the kids LOVED it

By Lindsay T on October 24, 2017

We played this at a youth retreat and the kids (grades 6-12) LOVED it. We didn't score points, just allowed for people to share sincerely the qualities they admired about each other. It isn't often that people create intentional time to praise one another sincerely, and this game made it possible to do that in a way that wasn't overly cheesy or forced-- the animal drawings are beautiful and the kids had a lot of fun playing. Couldn't recommend more to group leaders, families, churches, group therapists, etc.

Utilisations variées et facile à adapter

By Sandy Vignola on June 30, 2016

FAQ

Question:
Can you play in group or 1 on 1?
Answer:

Hello! Thanks for your interest for Totem! It was initially designed with groups in mind but people are also using it to trigger discussion and stimulate reflexion in a one-on-one context. You can ask the person to select among the cards the strength (animal) or quality they see in themself or the ones they would like to develop for example. You can also ask the person to take the game home to use it with their family to have a positive (only) discussion about everyone's strengths and qualities... I hope these suggestions will be helpful and respond to your needs. Give it a try. You'll be surprised by how its simple approach is powerful :). Cordially, the Totem Team.
